Katie Ohlund - Varsity Head Coach
Katie began competitive dance and gymnastics at the age of 5. In high school, she was a 3 year member, captain and choreographer of a local high school dance team. Katie was also a 3 year member and captain of the nationally ranked St. Cloud State University Dance Team. While she was a captain her junior year in college, the team received a paid bid to UDA Nationals and placed 2nd at the UDA National Dance Team Championship in Orlando, Florida. The team also took home the first place title at the UDA Spirit of American Championship and the Winter Carnival Competition. Katie has been a choreographer for several high schools in Iowa and had held private technique clinics for high schools in the Midwest. She graduated from St. Cloud State University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a minor in International Business. Prior to coaching, Katie had been a judge for the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) and a member of the Judges Association of Minnesota Dance Teams (JAM) since 1999. She served on the JAM Board of Directors from 2006-2009 and was re-elected to serve again from 2010-2014. Katie Ohlund is the former President of JAM and recently served as a MSHSL Dance Team Rules Coordinator. She has judged at the State Dance Team tournament since 2004 and has served as a Superior Judge and the Assistant Supervisor of Officials at the State Tournament. Katie has taught dancers ages 2 through adult and prides herself on being a well-rounded, versatile instructor. She is a current studio instructor in Lakeville and teaches competitive jazz, contemporary, lyrical and high kick. Katie loves getting to know her students and combines her passion for dance with her love for people. In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending as much time as possible with her husband Jade, and her two kids, Jack and Lauren. Jack is currently in 8th grade at Kenwood Trail Middle School has plays hockey and baseball. Lauren is a 4th grader at Lakeview Elementary and is a competitive studio dancer.
Jenna Gregor - Varsity Assistant
Jenna began her dance career at the age of 5 as a competitive dancer at Premiere Dance Academy in Prior Lake where she competed in a variety of dance styles. Jenna was a 4 year varsity member and Captain of the Prior Lake Dance Team. After high school Jenna attended Saint Cloud State University and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Criminal Justice. Gregor was also a four year member of the St. Cloud State Dance Team. Some of her biggest accomplishments include winning the title of National Champions in Pom (2016). This will be Jenna 5th season coaching, but first season coaching for Lakeville South. She previously coached the Sauk Rapids Varsity Dance team for 4 years, in that time, the team made trips to the state tournament in both jazz and kick. Jenna says coaching has always been something she is passionate about, after growing up with such dedicated teachers and coaches she loves having the opportunity to share her passion for the sport with other dancers. In her free time Jenna enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her 2 dogs Boone (black lab) and Bree (samoyed). Jenna is very excited to be joining the Lakeville South Coaching staff!

Rea Ryan - JV Head Coach/Varsity Assistant
Coach Rea started dancing when she was three years old at various dance studios, including Stroia Ballet and the Brainerd Just For Kix studio. Rea was a 4 year member, choreographer and captain of the Pequot Lakes Dance Team before graduating in 2006. Prior to beginning her dance team coaching career, Rea taught dancers of all ages as a Just For Kix instructor for 5 years in the Pequot Lakes and St. Cloud programs. Rea began coaching at her alma mater, Pequot Lakes HS, coaching the Varsity team for 5 years. Coach Rea is in her 2nd year coaching the Lakeville South Cougar Dance Team and her 8th year coaching overall. Rea has also been a part of the coaching staff at St. Cloud Apollo as well as Monticello High School. Under her leadership, Monticello High School brought home their highest scores since the program’s inception. One of Rea’s proudest coaching moments was as a Head Coach for Pequot Lakes after they moved up from class A to class AA. During the 2011-2012 season, she assisted in bringing the team to 4th in kick and 5th in jazz at Sections behind Sartell, St. Cloud Cathedral and Sauk Rapids. Coach Rea and her husband have an adorable infant son, Declan, who is loved by all of the dancers and coaches on CDT!
